Ronald Arthur Wood was born at Wangaratta Hospital in 1933 on the 26th November to his parents Adeline and Leslie Wood. He was their first born an would soon be followed by his sister Lorna and brother Lloyd.
Ron grew up in the small town of Markwood, on his family’s dairy farm. The town consisted of a school and a garage and not much else! He was a mischievous child, full of character and cheekiness from the very beginning, a theme that would continue throughout his long life.
In the late 50’s, Ron met someone that would change the course of his life forever, of course I am speaking about his beloved wife, Patricia. They met through Ron’s sister Lorna and married in 1960 at The Holy Trinity Church in Wangaratta. They started their married life in Footscray and in 1961 Pat gave birth to their son, Peter. Suellen was born in 1963 and they loved and adored their daughter. However, it wasn’t until Jayne was born in 1964 that everything was perfect and the Wood family was complete.
He had 7 grand children in total and loved each of them more than can be said in words. Michael, Ashlea, Harrison, Caitlyn, Matt, Hannah and Jamie were the light of his lives. He loved the time he spent with his beautiful great grandchildren; Ollie, Lola, Ronnie, Florence, Madison and Gemma.
We love you and miss you Pa xxxxxx
